Performance and Off-Roading Differences

The Bronco Sport’s standard engine is a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder, generating a hefty 181 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque. If you’re looking for more oomph, select the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. The Bronco brings even more power with its base turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 300 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. For those seeking even greater performance, there’s the optional turbocharged 2.7-liter V6, boasting 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque.

If you’re towing, keep in mind that the Bronco Sport handles up to 2,200 pounds, making hauling small trailers or campers a piece of cake. The truck-like Bronco can tow up to 3,500 pounds and provides great ground clearance, stellar approach and departure angles, and multiple tire options for all-terrain driving. Plus, it’s equipped with a true four-wheel-drive system and Bronco Trail one-pedal driving and Trail Turn Assist features for expert off-roaders.

Interior and Exterior Design Differences

The Bronco Sport measures around 14 feet in length, while the two-door Bronco is almost the same, and the four-door Bronco is longer at 189.4 inches. Given its larger size, the Bronco does provide more interior space adorned with high-quality materials, moresoe in the upper trim levels. To give a more concrete idea of sizing differences: the Bronco Sport is sized similarly to compact SUVs, while the Bronco falls closer to midsize SUVs.

Technology and Safety Differences

Both Bronco SUVs impress in the tech department. The Bronco Sport comes with standard features like Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also offers options like adaptive cruise control and the available Ford navigation system. The larger Bronco model has a standard 8-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration and an optional massive 12-inch screen.
